community, and meet like-minded people who share your passion for preserving the
past. Whether you have a little time or a lot, your skills and enthusiasm are needed!

Volunteer Opportunities


Publications: Write, edit, or contribute to our newsletter and Delta Stories journal.
Programs & Events: Assist with planning and hosting events like the Sacramento Archives Crawl, the Pear Fair, Delta               Awards, lectures, and exhibits.
Resource Center & Archives: Help organize historical materials, catalog collections, or assist visitors at our research center.
Oral History Projects: Interview community members to preserve personal stories and experiences.
Videography & Photography: Capture events, document historic sites, and help with digital storytelling.
Community Outreach: Represent us at local events, help with educational programs, and connect with schools.
Board & Committees: Take an active role in guiding our organization’s mission and initiatives.
Social Media & Communications: Assist with updating our Facebook Group, website, and outreach efforts. Expand our               horizons – Instagram, Tik Tok, other ideas?
